![]() GAPT Moves Forward! As we look ahead to 2026 and beyond, GAPT is entering an exciting new chapter — one focused on innovation, development, and collaboration across our great state. Since our founding in 1964, the Georgia Association for Pupil Transportation (GAPT) has been committed to advancing safety, leadership, and professionalism in student transportation. More than six decades later, that mission continues stronger than ever. We're proud to announce the launch of the Southeastern Pupil Transportation College (SPTC) — GAPT’s new home for professional certification and degree programs, beginning with the Pupil Transportation Professional Official (BA Degree). Our Fleet Technician Certification Program will now fall under this exciting new educational umbrella. GAPT will make these new professional development opportunities available at strategic locations and dates throughout next year, ensuring greater access and flexibility for transportation professionals across Georgia. We will now center our year around three annual conferences and trade shows:
Each event will emphasize professional growth, industry innovation, and networking with Georgia’s top pupil transportation professionals. To strengthen partnerships with our vendor community, we’re establishing a Suppliers Council — ensuring our valued industry partners have a stronger voice in shaping meaningful trade show experiences. Their support is vital to our mission, and together we’ll make our events even more impactful for everyone involved. The future of pupil transportation in Georgia is bright — and we’re just getting started!
